- IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING GAMING SAFARI GLITCHES View
by Zovaraxx on February 10, 2015 at 08:40:08 PST
Dear Ladder Members,
We have all been patient and now I have some good news for you from Gaming Safari:(1) #Cards in your hand:
There are two scroll arrows you will need to
use if your card count in your hand exceeds 40. Use your left and right movement keys to see what is in your hand. Gaming Safari decided to use the arrow keys to avoid making the card size smaller.(2)Test Room for all to test:
The debug version of the game is in the Canasta test room. This room is
found on the left hand side of the lobby page for canasta under the
social games, third room down. Please have some of your group test how
it is playing in there, especially to make sure that the disappearing
cards are now present.(3) Discard Pile issues:
The programmer is working on changing how you meld. When this is done,
you will take the top card only from the discard pile and will need to
use that card and any other cards from your hand to complete the meld
requirements before the remainder of the discard pile cards are sent to
your hand. this should take care of both the "using cards from the
discard pile illegally to make a meld' and the "undo" issue where you
keep the discard pile cards but only send back the top card.(4) FIXED: Missing Card and Problem with Picking Up
The programmer is working on two major ones. the ones that were fixed are the
"disappearing cards" and preventing a player from picking up the discard
pile if the top card matches a canasta they already have on their meld
board.NOTE: once these two major bugs are gone and the code has been tested, programmer will
likely release this new version to all the rooms. then we can address
any smaller bugs you have found or code changes to allow for variations
we have not considered with the original game. Please keep your posts coming with bugs and other things. GS had a problem with the previous programmer. That programmer is now gone and the new programmer is working earnestly to get everything fixed.
Thanks to all again and please let us know how the test room works out and any other problems.
Happy Gaming,
EMB, Zovaraxx, Boije and Madame
