- Default game settings specific rule clarification View

Rather than botching up a long message regarding rules, I will try to do smaller ones from time to time...From our Game specific rules is this rule WE voted on:
"Both players MUST agree to the table settings before teh match begins. If players cannot agree to the settings of the table, then the better ranked player MUST allow the other player to choose the settings."
As a rule, I believe we all understand this rule. At times I have noted that this rule has been construed by some where the lower ranked player has the option to host the match if he or she wants to, no matter what the settings for the match are. That is not how it should be. Note the second sentence just indicates that the other player gets to "choose the settings." If both players want to play the same format, then it really doesn't matter who sets the table. If there is a difference of opinion on the settings, then the lower ranked player can choose the settings. After that, please use common sense as determining who sets the table. I have noticed that as a rule we let the lower ranked player set the table when there is a negotiation of table settings. However there is no specific rule for this, so my suggestion is to negotiate nicely on that matter once the settings are agreed to.
If there are any questions let me know. Thank you.
