Well after spending some time in the room I think I may have sniffed out one of the reasons for out good HTDs departing. As most of you know some times a TD sets a tourney at a time & sits in the room for upto a hr with no players, they do the same day after day at the same time & day by day they get a extra player to join the tourney untill they get 4 & it runs.
Players get to know that this TD will be setting a tourney at that time & keep coming back most days if not every day.
This makes the TD happy & they do the same at other times untill they have a number in a row that will allmost certanly run evey day they set them.
some times they evern give this group of tourneys a name so players know what the TD is on about.
Then comes alone another TD & jumps into the time slots that the first TD had worked so hard to build up, not stoping at that the new TD also uses the some group name in the hope that players will think they are conected to the first hard workinG td.
End resault is the hard working TD leaves in total dismay.
I for one will not be playing in tourneys set by the second TD in the fist hard working TDs time slots.
But of cause it could be that I have a cold & me nose is picking up a duff trail.

: I have no idea whats going on here or why any TD's have chosen to quit hosting and withdraw from the ladder, but I have been a TD on another ladder for another game for some time and I know how frustrating it can be to work your butt off to build a player base when there are many other names on the directors list who do little or nothing. I did a quick scan of the tournies hosted in the month of July and came up with the following:Justshygirl: hosted 34
Crazyone: hosted 6
Tollerdog: hosted 2
Mika: hosted 4
Lonely: hosted 7
BombyBarb: hosted 3I see 3 of the above names are no longer TD's.
Does the work load look a little lopsided?

Yes this is ture, but also you better remember as a td you have a spot or a time you like then that time should be taken befor other td makes a T up in it. As time slots are open for us and none of us have our names on them.. Its always a good point to make them up night befor not wait to next day.. and also there is other reason not always do we know why a person cant host as much as others can...
We all have reasons for what we do or dont do but it does not mean that we all dont want the samething for the league. Some of them times that one host is only times someone else might be able to host ... so please keep this in mind when making comments. :) hugs all
