The Ranking System!
MyLeague has one of the simplest ranking systems ever used for competitive play. The concept was adopted from the ranking system used on the official Case’s Ladders. We call it a "Ladder" because each member holds a unique rank or "rung" that represents their standing among other members. The highest-ranked member holds the #1 Ladder position; for example, someone ranked #2 is ranked below the #1 member. The goal is to "climb" the Ladder all the way to the top!
  • When you first join, you are placed in an “Unranked” category on the League.
  • You become "Ranked" after winning your first League match. (Unranked members may play each other, and the winner becomes ranked at the bottom of the League.)
  • When you defeat a higher-ranked member, you move up in rank 50% the distance between their rank and your own.
    • Example: If you are ranked #50 and you beat the #1 ranked member, then your new rank would be 25.
  • Your rank on the League does not go down if you lose a match unless your opponent is ranked DIRECTLY below you.
    • Example: If you are ranked #5 and the #6 ranked member defeats you, then your new rank would be #6.
    • When members ranked below you are victorious against members ranked above you, it's possible the member will jump over you in rank and you will move down one rung. This depends on the ranks involved.
      • Example(per 50% rank gain) :You are currently ranked #7. If the #10 ranked member defeats the #1 ranked member, then #10 will advance to the #5 rung and you will fall to the #8 rung.

    Account Rules
    • League Names
      • If your League name is deemed offensive or contains profanity, your account may be removed.
      • If your League name is deemed abusive towards another member, your account may be removed.
      • You can edit your League name by using the ‘My Account’ tab and choosing the ‘Edit Username’ option. If you have problems changing your League name, please use the ‘Contact Admin’ link, located on the 'Support' tab.
    • E-mail Address
      • Your E-mail address must be kept current at all times, in case you need to be contacted. You can use the 'Edit E-mail Address' link on the 'My Account' tab to edit your E-mail address.
    • Password Security
      • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
      • You are not permitted to share your password with anyone for any reason.
    • Inactivity
      • In order to keep the League as dynamic as possible, your account will be automatically deleted if you are inactive for 250 days. However, one of the features of our Premium Membership Program is never being deleted for inactivity. Information regarding our Premium Membership Program can be found here .
    • Multiple Accounts
      • Only one account is allowed per person. There are no exceptions to this rule.
      • It is forbidden for more than one person to use or share the same account.
      • Multiple accounts from the same location will be investigated and possibly removed.

    Challenges
Note: Please consult the Admin staff regarding whether or not League challenges are permitted for this League. A challenge is defined as a request for a match with a higher-ranked member. Whether you are the challenger or the one being challenged, there are some rules that must be followed. Violating these rules may result in penalties. If you notice anyone violating these rules, please contact the Admin staff.
    • Chat
      • The best way to find League matches is to announce in chat that you are looking for a League match so that other members will know you are interested in League-play. You can also directly challenge a specific member in chat.
    • Formal Challenges
      • Most Leagues permit the use of Formal Challenges. A complete overview of the Formal Challenge system can be found here .
    • 2 time(s) Per Day
      • You may play the same member 2 time(s) per day. However, you may play as many different members as you would like on any given day. A “MyLeague” day begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
    • Verify Information
      • We recommend you ensure a potential opponent is also a member of the League before starting your match. You can do this very easily by searching for your opponent using the 'Search for Players' tool.

    Playing a Match
Once you are ready to start playing a League match, there are some guidelines governing game play that you should keep in mind.
    • Opponents
      • You are not allowed to report losses to another member that also plays from the same computer as you. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted, and participating accounts may be penalized or removed.
    • Sportsmanship
      • The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered in a later section) also apply during matches.

    Reporting the Match
Once your match is completed, the loser of the match is responsible for reporting the loss immediately. You can report your matches using the 'Report Loss' button located on the 'Standings' tab. Please note the ‘Report Loss’ link should only be used for League matches and not for tournament matches; you should consult the TD with any questions regarding reporting tournament matches. If you have any problems reporting a loss, you should contact the Admin staff and request assistance.
    • Reporting the Loss
      • In one-on-one matches, the loser of the match reports the loss to the winner.
      • In partner matches, each member of the losing team reports a loss to both partners of the winning team. At the end of the match, you would either gain two wins or report two losses.
      • In “free for all” matches (matches in which multiple opponents are competing against each other without partners), each loser of the match must report a loss to one overall winner.
      • When playing matches with more than one opponent, it is important for losses to be reported in the proper order if rank will be affected by the order of report. You must report to the better-ranked opponent first in those cases. It is your responsibility to make sure you report in the correct order when necessary. Not doing so may result in penalty.
    • Unreported Matches
      • If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the “Contact Admin” link and then use the “Unreported Match” form.

    Tournaments
The rules for a Tournament are determined by the Tournament Director hosting the event. You will find a summary of each individual Tournament, including a Rules page, if you follow the link for that specific Tournament.

    League-Specific Rules
    Expected BehaviorTournaments

The rules are determined for each individual tournament by the Tournament Director holding the event. If you click on the link for a specific tournament you will see a summary of that tourney, including a 'RULES' link where you can find out the specific rules for that event. Tournaments are exempt from Game Specific Rules unless the TD has specified otherwise on his/her rules page.

    Game-Specific Rules

To keep things as competitive as possible we often have special rules that only apply to certain games. The rules for the current ladder are listed here. If you have any suggestions for rule changes that would improve the Ladder please feel free to contact your ladder admin team.

      • 1. Conflicts In the event of a dispute or complaint on the pgp ladder, these 'Game Specific Rules' should be referred to. Questions about the 'Game Specific Rules' should be directed to quietonenow(Admin). If you are caught violating these rules, you will be penalized in rank, and or participation in pgp ladder events.
      • 2. Ladder Matches Losses are to be reported promptly to the ladder - before starting to play another pgp match. If your opponent fails to report a loss promptly, please send them a reminder, via e-mail (you may find their e-mail address by choosing Find Player on the left-hand menu.) If they have not reported the match within 2 hours, you may report it by choosing 'Unreported Match' on the left-hand menu. The other player will be given one day to report the match. If it has not been reported, the player will be penalized.
      • 4. Fun For Everyone In order to assure that the ladder is fun for everyone, anyone caught swearing, insulting, or harrassing a player or tournament director will be placed in the penalty box depending upon the seriousness of the issue. If you have a problem with another player or a TD, email quietonenow before trying to take the problem into your own hands.
      • 5. Top 10 Guidelines All members in the top 10 must defend their rung against the one immediately below them at least once every three days. If you do not comply with these rules, you will be placed at rung 21..
      • 6. Top 20 Guidelines All members in the top 20 must complete 25 matches with players ranked below them. If players in the top 20 do not abide by these rules, they will be removed from the top 20.
      • 7. Force Forfeit Forcing a forfeit on a player during a pgp match is NOT acceptable. If you force a forfeit, your match will not be reported. If a player leaves a match, you are required to wait for at least ten minutes. If the player does not return, you may cancel the match. An unreported match report will not be accepted unless you have a screenshot (Press Print Screen button on your keyboard, then Open Microsoft Paste, and press Ctrl + V) that the player was losing substantially. If you think the player left the match because they were losing and you do have a screenshot sent to Quietonenow, the situation will be resolved.
      • 8. Cheaters Anyone caught cheating in any way will be runged substantially and record set correctly. That will serve as your first and final warning. If the problem occurs again, the offender will be removed from the ladder.
      • 9. General These rules are subject to change. The Admin team reserves the right to remove any players violating the rules, no questions asked. In order to make this league a friendlier and better environment, we encourage you to express your ideas to the Admin team. We want to keep you as a member. We value each and every one of you as a member. Please abide by these rules, so no consequence will be put in place.

      • You can only play in one tournament at once except on pgp marathon day

If you are a pgp member playing another pgp player on a rated table, expect it to be a pgp game. But please try to remember to ask if it is meant to be pgp before you start and it will prevent a lot of problems. Non- reporting can cost you your place in the league. Please follow the reporting proceedures if a player fails to report a loss to you.

        TOURNAMENTS
The rules are determined for each individual tournament by the Tournament Director holding the event. If you click on the link for a specific tournament you will see a summary of that tourney, including a 'RULES' link where you can find out the specific rules for that event. Tournaments are exempt from Game Specific Rules unless the TD has specified otherwise on his/her rules page.

** RULES MAY VARY WITH EACH TD- PLEASE READ YOUR TOURNAMENTS RULES **
      • 1. All games must be rated/protected tables. No timers on tables unless specified by TD. pgp and cases names must match
      • 2. 8 ball(black ball) falls on break then you must restart. Glitches happen and ARE part of the game. NO chat in HQ.
      • 3. Cue ball MUST be clearly MOVED before the break. Rerack if not.
      • 4. You must NOT move the cue ball when you sink both balls on break.
      • 5. You must NOT withdraw from the league before the tournament is finished and reported. This will result in you being banned from the league.
      • 6. No cheating, coaching (except in team switch), fighting, swearing or forced forfeit
      • 7. Report losses immediately to the TD at hq with the round # PLEASE... Example .... WINNER D LOSER Rnd 1
      • 8. ASK immediately at HQ for 5 minute timers on absent opponents. 10 minute timers in finals.
      • 9. Start the next round when you know who you play. No timers on that round until it officially starts.
      • 10. Only one(1) tourney at a time IS allowed. Two(2) at a time = DQ.
      • 11. Do not start the game over without permission from the TD, unless it is an 8 ball break, or failure to move cue before.
      • 12. The TD has the final word in all aspects of the tourney.

        TEAM TOURNAMENTS
      • 13. If a player is timed out then they may continue playing if their team advances to the next round. If a player is dq'd for other reasons they may NOT play in the rest of the tournament.
      • 14. IN 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, if 2 team members time out or are DQd in the SAME round, then the team is DQd. So if 1 team member is DQd for cursing, then the team will be DQd if anyone else times out or gets DQd. However the opponents MUST highlight this to the TD immediately, as this may be hard for a TD to notice. For 5v5 and 6v6 this increases to 3 members.
      • 15. All 3v3 4v4 5v5 6v6 tourneys must have timer tables (max 30 seconds). If your opponent gets booted invite the TD and play until u miss then wait for opponent to come back or timer is done.
      • 16. Once an autoteam is complete, any players withdrawing from that complete team to join another team may be disqualified by the TD immediately on close. This is to discourage sabotaging complete autoteams and causing the other players on the team to miss the tourney that they've been signed up to for 10 / 20 minutes. It is easy for the TD to see anyone who has withdrawn by refreshing the admin page just before you close and then locate any blanks in autoteams from the overall team name.

PLEASE DONT FORGET TO TURN YOUR INVITES ON.

STANDARD 1V1 = Protected Rated Tables. (Timed tables ONLY if it is a timer tourney)
        TEAM bo3 / bo5 = Seperate Protected Rated Tables (no1 v no1, no2 v no2, no3 v no3 ....)
TEAM SWITCH = Everyone at SAME Protected UNRATED Table. Coaching IS allowed. Sit - Shoot until you miss - Stand.

RACK N RUN RULES: SHOOT UNTIL MISS
PROTECTED TRAINING tables. Sit- Shoot UNTIL you miss- Count balls- Stand- Next person RERACK. If you miss on break then continue shooting. If you can't agree an order then play in tourney bracket order. Never move cue ball except break. Scratch on break= rerack. Black 8ball at any time. Highest count of balls sunk before you miss wins (miss allowed on break). Count ALL balls sunk, even on last shot, except cue. If tied then rerack.

        KILLER RULES: SIT..SHOOT ONCE..STAND
PROTECTED TRAINING tables. Two Lives each (2-2-2). Sit- Shoot once- stand. Next person. If you miss on break please re-rack and try again. If you can't agree an order then play in tourney bracket order. Never move cue ball except on break or after scratch/ wrong turn. Lose a life if fail to sink a ball, scratch or wrong turn. Scratch on break= rerack. Black 8 ball at any time (NO extra life). Last survivor wins. You STOP playing when no lives left.

SWISS: You play in every round EVEN if you lose until only ONE person undefeated. You must clearly ask the TD if you wish to withdraw early, and check its done, or use the WITHDRAW button on the tourney REGISTER page.

TRUE SWISS: You play in every round EVEN if you lose, fixed number of rounds decided before start. You must clearly ask the TD if you wish to withdraw early, and check its done, or use the WITHDRAW button on the tourney REGISTER page.

DOUBLE ELIM: You are still in the tournament until you lose TWO matches. One loss moves you to the bottom bracket.

you must hit the yellow ball to break and no hiding cue ball ( hit only your own balls). dont say early gg .... or you lose the game.take ss and leave the game. if you play on, early gg does not count anymore. ===>> new rule : To withdraw more than once a day is not allowed. If you do ==> player will be boxed for a few days. unreport match ========= 2 unreport matches = 3 days in box 3 unreport matches = 5 days in box 4 unreport matches = player kicked long waiting during game: at playing you must play within the 2 minutes or you can also wait twice 1 minute unless you have a valid reason (toilet or tel) and the reason must say you then in advance for any help in dutch you can go to ==>> http://users.pandora.be/frederik.arijs/pool/uitleg.htm New rule for Td's!! From now on a td is obligated to make up the standings with a RANDOM seed, ONLY when it is a tourney with bye('s). For tourneys without bye('s) the td is free to choose the seed by rank, rating, registration number or random. ==========>>> in poolpro 2 league all matches are played for 1 report:=: BO1 BO3 BO5...only 1 report allowed =========>>>> BO3 matches for 2 reports are not allowed in this league
  • +++ABOUT ILLEGAL+++
Fixed breaks are NOT allowed.Safety breaks are allowed but only if you hit the yellow ball at-at least- 80% power!

  • °: ===-If your opponent plays an illegal shot (illegal shot with an intention to play it) you take a ss and leave the game.If you leave without a ss, you lose the game, if you have 2 ss's you get the win(if one of the admins admit that it's really an illegal shot)

  • °: ===-If your opponent plays an illegal shot when :

  • °: ===- He was snookered, tries to make a double (or makes an attempt to shoot white upon his own ball first) and didn't hit his own ball, it's not counted as an illegal shot. The game will be continued then, except when you are fucked in the game, because of that shot he did. In that case a redo will have to be played(your opponent has to agree with the redo)

  • °: ===- He hits his ball too slow (because of a little mistake or a pop- up or something else), it's not counted as an illegal shot and you can put the ball back or just continue the game(or a redo).

  • °: ===- He hits your ball first to pot his own ball, but hits it too slow or playes a block on you instead of a pot. This is not counted as an illegal shot, unless it was not a good attempt to pot his own ball.So you just continue the game, or play a redo, but you can't take the win, if there was no intention to play an illegal shot.If it's IMPOSSIBLE to pot it and just wants to fuck your balls up, it's an illegal shot. But admins need 2 ss's for these cases to sort it out properly.

    Top Ten
The purpose of the League is to climb to the top and the competition for the rungs in the Top Ten is high. As such, we have special rules that apply for members in the Top Ten.

    • Inactivity
      • Members in the Top Ten must play a League match at least once every 3 days; otherwise, you will be automatically dropped five rungs and your inactivity counter is reset. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    Expected Behavior
As a member of MyLeague, you are representing the League, the Admin staff, and all other members when you are participating on a MyLeague. It’s part of your responsibility as a member to act in a respectable manner within your League community.
    • Cheating
      • If you believe your opponent is cheating, then you should contact the Admin staff.
    • Abuse
      • It is forbidden to abuse or harass another League member.
      • It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. If you are being harassed by another League member, contact the Admin staff for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could be penalized as well.
    • Nice Guy Rule
      • Please note that behavior guidelines govern all methods of communication. This includes chat, E-mail, message forums, instant messenger services, etc. Treat other members with respect!

    Fill in the Blank
Although we have tried to be as detailed as possible, we can’t cover every aspect of gaming in our rules. Please be advised that just because something is not stated in our rules and policies, then that does not mean it is allowed. Use common sense. If it is something that will adversely affect other members and you might think twice about it, then it’s probably against the rules. The Admin staff will have the final say in such matters. If you have a specific question please feel free to contact us via E-mail.
