Sunday I'll be seeing Paul McCartney in concert for the 1st time, Paul and I go back to before mini-skirts were the "in" fashion, pot was something you heated soup in, Ed Sullivan was to Sunday nights what Downton Abbey has been in recent years, the British invasion had yet to take hold. Yes he was always my favorite Beatle, let's face it, he was cute and I was 14! I should note I was not one of those hysterical girls going wild over them. Truth be told I've come to appreciate their music more through my children which is a huge statement for the fact that their music has spanned generations. Mini-skirts appear to be back in vogue although no longer worn by the Twiggys of our world but seem to be a fashion statement worn skin tight by people who are overweight with huge rears! Pot is now "smoked"? and it's legal too! The British invasion came conquered and disappeared. Yet Paul, John, George and Ringo remain ever in our hearts and our lives. So Sunday as I walk into Giants Stadium or whatever it's called now, trust me I'll have goose bumps and when he comes on that stage and starts playing an old favorite you can bet there will be a few tears shed, but they will be "happy" tears for great memories of my teenage years and all the wonderful friends who were a huge part of those years.- Re: Paul McCartney View
