Bravada posted this elsewhere and Shari asked me to post it here - sad news, I am only sorry that I never got to meet her:
I am so very sorry to announce that Jlgcards passed away late Monday evening. She had not been eating and was sounding very tired and had said she wished it was all over as the pain medications were not helping much anymore. She wanted you all to know how much she loved playing euchre, (especially reverse)! She will be missed by many and we now have to retire the team names "Brats" and "Jackies" Nautbad and I were very close to her, and we talked to her Sunday afternoon. At that time I noticed a change in her voice.Farewell Friend May You Rest In Peace!Jackie , Shari and all your euchre friends.

Sorry to hear of her passing. Always a sharp player , with a calm way about playing. I had many an epic card game with Jackie as a partner or opponent while knowing with her involved it was another element towards a well played competitive and friendly match.
