If you have won 1st or 2nd place in one contest, you can not win 1st or 2nd place prizes in the next contest (ie: no same 2 wins back-to-back by the same person).

HOSTS HOSTS HOSTS

Granny's Angels is always looking for hosts to host the tours and cover our own hosts when they have things to do. No experience is necessary. All that is required is your desire to host and your time. We will give you all the training and tools necessary to host tournaments. It is easy to do and fun to interact with all the members in tours. If this is something you think you might want to try, please complete the “TD Application” link that is located on the homepage or contact any host/admin and let them know. We’d be very happy to have new hosts join the hosting crew.           

NEW MEMBERS

Please extend a warm Granny's Angels welcome to them. Some of our new members are familiar with leagues and some are not and may require a little bit more explanation and help in tours. Please be patient and remember ….. we were all “new” at one time. 

To all our new members, welcome to the league and we hope to see you playing in tours with us. We have a variety of tours each day, and if there is any specific game you’d like to play and don’t see it on the calendar, let us know and we will look into getting that game. 

As well, always remember that there are “potential” new members in the room while we are in tours. If someone shows an interest in joining, or asks a question about the league or even if they just ask a general question like “I see so many hearts in the room”, please take the time to acknowledge their question and invite them to join the league. The hosts will normally do this, but there are times when they are away from the screen doing tour business and don’t see it. If you’re not comfortable doing this, then plz let the host know “busybee” was inquiring about the league. It takes cooperation from all to keep a successful league going. 

GUIDELINES FOR TOURS

CONDUCT EXPECTED BY PLAYERS IN TOURS/GAME CHAT ROOMS & OTHER RULES:
• It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you are registered for tours. Plzzzzz register for tours well in advance.

• Tours start 5 mins after the scheduled tour time (tours are est/edt). Be in the game chat room & ready to play at that time. If you haven't shown up, you will be kept in the 1st round (unless notified to be removed from the tour). If you haven't shown up by the end of the 1st round, you will be removed from the tour.

• Host will ask if everyone is ready, please respond with yes, y, etc so everyone knows you are ready to play. Please be mindful that the host will not wait long for a response & will start the tour (we already give a grace period of 5 mins after scheduled tour time for everyone to be in the room & ready to play).

• There is ONE host per tour. Plz do not interfere in the host’s responsibilities. Lately it has been expressed by some that “there are too many cooks in the kitchen”. This results in not only confusion it causes frustration as well. If the host requires assistance, he/she will ask for it. 

• Please pay attention to the host, especially when announcing pairs and byes. Tours are generally long enough without added delays. 

• Keep chat at a minimum while hosts are getting scores in tours. When everyone is chatting, the chat box scrolls very fast and it is quite difficult for the host to get all scores. Please hold your chat each round until the scores have been collected.

• WAIT for the host to announce “refresh”, unless there is a special reason why you need to refresh ahead of time.  Let the host know before you refresh.

• Players are to be given 5 mins to return to the game in cases such as, but not limited to, freezing, getting booted, etc. There is a max of 2 times of being given 5 mins to return to the game during the whole tour. After maxing out, the player will disqualify & be removed from the tour.  *Note: In Pogo Bowl, game table will not be restarted by the host due to time-consumption. The player is welcome to refresh their game but they will have to start in the current frame being played & finish from there. 

• Only Pogo names (Case's Arcade names if do not have Pogo) are to be used in tours - not personal names even though you may ask you to use their real name. Now, common sense should also be used. If the player’s Pogo name is BusyBee and you are asked to call her “bee”, that’s acceptable as it is part of the Pogo name. Now if the player’s name is “Bob” and their Pogo name is Coalminer – then no, Bob is not allowed. There is no correlation between “bob” and “coalminer”. This may seem petty to some, but the biggest reason is assigning pairs in tours. You may know Bob is Coalminer, and the host may know as well, but there will be some in tour who do not. 

• Please also keep in mind that our hosts are human and they do make mistakes like the rest of us. When a mistake is made, please be patient and allow the host to correct. Do not all talk at once and add to the confusion. If you are expecting perfection in tours, maybe playing in tours is not for you. 

• Please keep all religion and political discussion at the door. We want our tours to be fun for all and not everyone shares in the same beliefs as others.

• Any disputes, concerns or discussions should be handled by the host only. If there is a dispute between players, the host will take BOTH players into Private Chat to try and resolve the matter. If the dispute cannot be resolved satisfactorily, then the matter should be taken to Granny, Slm, Julie or Donna for resolution. Under no circumstances should any other player be involved.

• If a member is blatantly disrespectful including but not limited to cursing, threatening, name calling toward any staff, member of our league or any guest, that member may be boxed for a min of 3 days. If they display this type of behavior again, the situation will be taken in for review by the admins to decide whether to box them again or ban them from our league.

We want our players to join the tours, have fun with your friends and support the league. With everyone following the above guidelines and working together, we can have the best league on Pogo/Case's Arcade with the minimum amount of disputes and disruption!!! 

SPECIAL TOURS

TOC - The tour is held once a month (usually the 1st weekend of the month). All players who won a tour the previous month will receive an invitation to the TOC. Winner of this tour wins 20 gems, 5000 ladderbux and will be moved up to 1st place on the ladder. 

BIG BUX & GEMS TOURS - Every Sat @ 6pm or 7pm, there will be a “Big Bux & Gem Tour” with 5,000 ladderbux and 10 gems to be given out to the winner. 

WEAKEST LINK - Every Saturday @ 6pm in Dice City Rollers and Sunday @ 7pm in Cases Arcade Bingo. To remain eligible, you must commit to playing every Saturday or Sunday until a winner is declared. At the end of each tour, the player with the lowest score in the tour will be declared ”The Weakest Link” for that week and be eliminated from the tour. If you play one week and do not get eliminated, but do not play the next week, you will be removed from the tour. Play will continue each Sunday until all the “Weakest Links” have been eliminated and there is 1 player remaining. That player will be declared the winner of the Weakest Link tour and win 10 gems. Anyone can play in this tour from week to week, including those who had previously been eliminated – you are just not eligible to win the prize.

BEAT THE HOST - Every Friday @ 6pm & @ 7pm. All players who beat the host’s score each round wins 2 gems. 

TRIVIA - Once a month hosted by Granny @ 7:00 pm. 2 pogo gems will be given out for each correct trivia question, with 5 gems being given for the bonus question. One correct answer per player per round. All eligible to play in Bonus question. 

BIRTHDAY TOUR BASH - Any player who would like a special Birthday Tour for their birthday, plz email juliemlovesJesus @ jmminor.1972@gmail.com, message her on Trillian, her ID to add as a contact is juliemlovesJesus or leave a message in our league chat box. It will then be added to the Birthday List and when it’s time for your birthday, Julie will contact you to arrange particulars of the tour. The birthday person will automatically get 5 gems added to the gem safe for their birthday – winner of the birthday bash will win 5 gems to be added to the gem safe.

PLAYERS POST THEIR STRIKES IN CHAT AS THEY GET THEM LIKE THIS: 1X, 2X, 3X & SO ON, ANY STRIKES NOT POSTED DON'T COUNT. POST IN CHAT 6 PK WHEN GET 6TH STRIKE OR IT DOESN'T COUNT. HIGH SCORER WINS IF BOTH GET 6 PK IN SAME FRAME OR IF NEITHER PLAYER GETS IT.

THE GOBBLER: 1ST PLAYER TO GET A TURKEY WINS THE ROUND. PLAYER IS TO TYPE "GOBBLE GOBBLE" IN CHAT WHEN THEY GET IT OR IT DOESN'T COUNT. HIGH SCORER WINS IF BOTH PLAYERS GET A TURKEY IN SAME FRAME OR IF NEITHER GETS IT.

FREEZE FRAME: PLAYERS TELL THEIR OPPONENTS TO "FREEZE FRAME" ANY FRAME BETWEEN 2ND & 9TH FRAMES (ONLY 1 FREEZE FRAME PER ROUND PER PLAYER). EXAMPLE: PLAYER 1 TELLS PLAYER 2 TO "FREEZE FRAME", PLAYER 2 FREEZES FRAME BY NOT BOWLING THE NEXT FRAME (PLAYERS CAN "FREEZE FRAME" THE SAME FRAME OR DIFFERENT FRAME AS THEIR OPPONENT). IF A PLAYER BOWLS IN THE FRAME THEY WERE TOLD TO FREEZE, THEY DQ & LOSE THE ROUND. HIGH SCORER WINS IF NO ONE DQ'D.

THANKSGIVING STARVATION: NO TURKEYS ALLOWED IN THIS TOUR. POST STRIKES IN CHAT AS YOU GET THEM (1 X, 2 X, 3 X), IF YOU GET A TURKEY (3 X) YOU DQ. IF BOTH PLAYERS GET A TURKEY IN THE SAME FRAME, HIGH SCORER WINS.

HOST WILL CONFIRM WINNERS & THEN TELL PLAYERS TO REFRESH FOR A NEW GAME. HOST WILL GIVE THE NEXT ROUND PAIRS & WILL LET PLAYERS KNOW WHEN TO START AGAIN.
