was the victim of a shooting. He was 16 years old and had lived with us his entire life. I wrote this to be read at his memorial service.
SHAWN? Where did you go, boy? I wasn'nt through talking to you. I took my eyes off of you for a moment and now you're gone. I wasn't through talking to you. There were things i needed to explain, to make clear, to say out plain. I wasn't through explaining to you, how much we loved you, your happy little smile, your downright onryness. I can still feel you as i hugged you that night and hear you say " I love you Grandpa" Why didn't i say, "don't go, boy, stay with me this night." Instead i said "I love you, too. Maybe then it would have been alright.- My Grandson Shawn View

I'll never see you again, nor you, me. I can still feel you as i hugged you that night and hear you say " I love you Grandpa" Why didn't i say, "don't go, boy, stay with me this night."
