HOW TO GET IN ROOMS ESPECIALLY WHEN FULL
All our tourneys are played in GREEN LANTERNS IN INTERMEDIATE in POGO EUCHRE GAMES. To find us go to Pogo.
You should already have a pogo name that matches your league ladder name as closely as possible, preferably exactly. Sign in and scroll down the page to the CARD GAMES and click on EUCHRE. Look at the headers and click on INTERMEDIATE then GREEN LANTERNS.
If the room is full use this backdoor
HOW TO REGISTER FOR A TOURNEY
So you have now joined Warriors and you are ready to play a tourney and you haven't a clue how to. Please find the help here. There are a few ways to join or as we say "jump" a tourney. If you are in the Green Lanterns lobby and see a host advertising a tourney you can go to the Home page at www.myleague.com/war and under "Free Sign Up" button to the Tournaments box, enter the jump # and click on register. You are now registered for the tourney. Also on the Home page, you will see a "quick register" area to the left of the Shoutbox. Another way is to go to The Traditional Calendar which is located halfway down the right hand side of Home page (under Staff Links) and click on it and you will see a list of all the tourneys for that particular day. (This is a handy link to create a shortcut to your desktop). Click on the one you would like to join and fill in with your name and password but this time you must remember to check the "I have read rules" box. The last way is on the Tournaments page tab. When you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a "blue box" of tourneys there for the current day and following day, beginning at midnight. This is not always an accurate way of seeing what tourneys are available as sometimes a tourney has to be deleted for emergencies and the page isn't updated but for quickness it is useful.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A TOURNEY
It is all very new to you in the lobby and you feel that you don't know what you are doing. Don't worry we have been there before, so please make yourself known to the host. We understand you will have a load of questions about how to play in a league. You should arrive at least 15 minutes early to be sure that you are signed up, checked-in and ready to play.
WHAT TYPE OF GAME ARE WE PLAYING - All games are reg std unless otherwise stated on the tourney page. Gimmicks are played from time to time. All Gimmick Rules are found on the main page.
WHO DO I PLAY - The host, once they have closed registration, will come back into the lobby and tell you what table you will be playing at, who your partner is and who your opponents are. For example, the host will say - T-46 Whoever n What v Where n Why. The first two persons names called always set the table. Please wait for the host to say that the table is GTG (good to go) before sitting.
SUB PARTNERS -Players in the same household are not to sub partner each other. Please wait for the host to request a sub partner at a table. There are times the assigned player may request a certain partner and/or use a bot. Please validate, before sitting, that you are indeed needed at that table as a sub partner. It is always a good idea to ask before sitting if there are any doubts.
HELP HOW DO I SET A TABLE - The tables are set as shown here :
The tables are always set like this except for some gimmicks, e.g. Reverse, where the tram is unchecked. The password is always war in small case. Rules are always run in the lobby before the start of each tourney so please try to make sure you are in the room before the start of the tourney.
TOURNEY ETIQUETTE
We have some tourney etiquette rules in Warriors. Mostly they are common sense and courtesy related. The only person in the lobby that uses caps are the hosts (or admin). Please, as a player, don't use caps as this can confuse members. We ask that you aren't rude to your fellow players at a table or in the lobby. At Warriors we welcome all ratings and all ages, above age 14, so sometimes you will have a partner that plays differently from you. Please accept it as part of playing in a league. Please don't be rude to the hosts. They are there so that you can play and they give their time freely, willingly and completely voluntarily. Please don't leave a table because you are losing or if it is a frustrating round. It is unsportsmanlike to do so. Also, PLEASE DO NOT play rated games or ladder while active in a tournament.
LEAGUE RULES
THERE IS A 3 STRIKE RULE FOR BAD/DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR. We don't tolerate bad behaviour. Firstly you are told, secondly you are warned and thirdly you will be dq'd from the tourney and possibly receive a boxing or ban.
You have 5 minutes to get to a table once a round starts. If you get booted from Pogo at anytime in same round you have 10 minutes to get back to table and be sitting. If you poof a second time in the same round you will be placed on a 5 minute clock. If you poof 3 times in same round you will be dq'd on the 3rd poof.
There is a 2pt penalty for going alone on 9.
Tourneys will not be held up for anyone as we start on time.
Non Members are not allowed at tables and you must watch games in your league laddername only please so you are recognized by any TD.
LADDER MATCHES AND TEAMS
You may ladder as many times a day as you want but you can only ladder the same person one time in a 24hr time period. The loser of the ladder must report the match. This should be reported immediately following the outcome of the match and prior to beginning another. To report a ladder game loss, go to the Standings Tab, click and select Report Loss under this tab and complete the information required.
Members of the same household are not allowed to play in teams together or ladder one another. They may play in the same tourneys but must not register and play from the same computer. If jumping Auto in teams or a 1 v 1 then please make sure there is at least one person in between the members jumping from same household so that you do not get paired together.
