To keep things as competitive as possible we often have special rules that only apply to certain games. The rules for the current ladder are listed here. If you have any suggestions for rule changes that would improve the Ladder please feel free to contact your ladder admin team. For a more complete list of rules click the Rules tab on the Aces main page.
Penalty Box:
When a player is placed in the penalty box they are blocked from playing any tournaments or ladder matches.
Rank Hounding:
Rank Hounding: Players in the Top Ten are expected to be as active after they reach the top ranks as they were before. In other words, if you are playing 20 games a day to make it to the Top Ten and then only play once a week to hold your rank you may be penalized. Just registering in a tourney, showing up and leaving does NOT constitute league play. Continuing use of this practice will result in the player losing rank and or otherwise being penalized. This practice shows a lack of sportsmanship and fair play.
Failure to Report Loss:
If your opponent does not report their loss within one hour after completing the match or prior to starting another match, you should click on the "Contact Admin" link and then use the "Unreported Match" form. Players who fail to report a loss will be placed in the penalty box for 3 days on the first offense. Players who fail to report a second lost match will be removed from the league. No exceptions. This is to insure fair play and honesty among our members. Players must report their loss within 24 hours of the ladder match
Behavior:
Aces Up members are expected to treat fellow members and staff with respect. If you are found to be abusive to fellow members or staff you will receive up to 7 days in the penalty box or be removed from Aces Up and banned from re-joining depending on the severity of the abuse. Your behavior reflects on the league as well as CasesLadder and as such should be appropriate at all times when in the lobby and at the tables. If you have a dispute with another player or staff member take it to IM or otherwise in private.
Returning to a game in progress:
If a player leaves a game because of program failure and is forced out of the room or offline and returns to the table while a match is in progress he/she will be allowed to return to the game as long as he/she has money left and the game program allows his/her return.
TD Positions:
TD's are as all staff, volunteers and deserve respect and gratitude for giving of there time to the league so members may enjoy the poker experience. Please show proper respect. A simple thank you goes a long way to show them you appreciate their time given to the league.
Unsanctioned Teams Matches:
Under NO circumstances are players to play team matches outside of a scheduled hosted teams tourney. This will be considered taking advantage of other players and the offending players will receive 5 days in the penalty box.
