Wasn't a great turnout, but those of us there had fun! The finals came down to Tom vs Pat. I subbed for Pat and Tom picked Sandy (smart man).
As it turns out, Pat only ordered the first hand, and got set. Never got a chance to order again, perhaps a dearth of good cards.
Sandy ordered the next hand and also got set, while I sang Instant Karma.
Tom got the next point, I got 2 on the hand after that, then Tom tied it up 4-4.
I went loner, Tom's lead stopped that, and I almost got set! It was a scary Whew!!
Sandy took the next two hand, then i got one to tie it up again at 6-6.
Sandy took two points on the next hand, i got one after that, then Tom made it 9-7.
Tom got set to tie it at 9-9, but ordered next, got two, and won it 11-9.
It was a fun, good game!
Congrats Tom, nice 2nd Pat, ty for subbing Sandy!
